is the internet an evolution of communication

     Internet as a symbol element of the 21st century, is advancing at a incredible speed and making us relying on it more and more. Today, texting is probably the most popular to communicate with people, some people even text more than what they say in the real world. So, people are saying, internet is an evolution of communication.

Some reasons why I disagree with this statement

1, Fake information is filling up the internet

    Because basically everyone can edit stuff on the internet, there are many errors or fake stuff on it. And many news are really biased because people wrote them with their own favour and emotion. For example, there are many websites on the internet with extreme biased opinion and even people make up the data and post it in public.

2, anonymousness

    On the internet all you have for you identity is a username, you don't need to worry about saying some bad stuff and get caught, because no one can recognize who you are. Many people just use this advantage to post whatever whey want without thinking about anything. Many conversations on the internet are just full of crap and negative attitude, there are less people showing their real personality and thoughts on the internet; instead, more "keyboard warriors" are existing, and they influence a lot on children who just started to know the internet world and trying to learn stuff.

3, Improper grammar and language in communication

    When people type things through the internet, many of them would use slam terms and incorrect spellings to save their time or make them look cool. For example, today people use "u" instead of "you", "dat" instead of "that", "gtg" instead of "got to go"... And the consequence is many young people are losing their ability to write in proper grammar and choice of words, they can't get out of the online world to fit in the real life again.

4, Occupying too much time and people can't get out of it

Memes are spreading out on the internet which drives people crazy

    Many young people especially teenagers spend dozens of hours on the internet each week, they are on the internet when they are suppose to do exercises, they are on the internet when they are suppose to study, they are on the internet when their friends ask them to hangout...

As the points I stated above, personally I disagree that internet it a evolution of communication, however it somehow did change our ways of communication. But rather it's in a successful way or still need a lot of improve, it's still uncertain.
